Why?
For demanding musicians the carbon string instruments currently available on the market still differ too much from wooden string instruments.
Therefore, after years of research & development Ricci Carbon Instruments presents “the next generation” – carbon string instruments 3.0:
Latest technology, specific and innovative fiber combinations position these instruments as closely as possible to quality wooden string instruments. In regard to sound and optics they represent a significant step forward to the existing instruments.
For Whom?
For…
- everyone who wants a tone as close as possible to that of a classic wood instrument and has too quickly run up against the limitations of previous carbon instruments.
- traveling musicians, who appreciate the outstanding resistance to damage from weather conditions (humidity and dryness) and physical damage relative to wood instruments.
- pragmatic orchestra musicians, who want a reasonably priced (second…) instrument in classic wood look of outstanding quality of tone and response which will hold its own in the first chair.
- progressive soloists, who possess the skill and desire to exploit the potential of these instruments without having to pay a fortune for them.
“Ricci” instruments cannot and should not replace the wood instruments of the old masters, which are available to few players because of their cost and scarcity, rather, they represent a significant further development in the tonality of carbon instruments – yet with outstanding value for price.
We are driven not by hubris of innovation, rather by the characteristics of openness and inquisitiveness for new things, by scientific meticulousness, a passion for music and humility in the face of accomplishment.
